North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) 2000 Records Another Day of Strong Attendance
    DETROIT, Jan. 19 -- The North American International Auto
Show 2000 reported its attendance for Wednesday, January 19, 2000.  53,028 car
enthusiasts walked through Cobo's doors Wednesday to gaze upon automobiles of
the past, present and future.  456,661 people have attended the show since its
opening last Saturday.
    "The North American International Auto Show has grown to become an
international stage showcasing the best that the automotive industry has to
offer," said Russ Shelton, co-chairman of NAIAS.  "It's cars, it's
entertainment, it's truly fun for the entire family."
    More than 700 vehicles are on display at Cobo Center through January 23,
2000, including 55 new vehicles introduced at NAIAS 2000.
    The show is open daily from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. from Saturday, January 15 -
Saturday, January 22, and from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. on the closing day, Sunday,
January 23.  Tickets cost $10 each for 12 and over, and $5 for seniors, and
can be purchased at Ticket Master outlets and at Cobo Center.  Children under
12 are free.
