Hail Creates Car-Truck Damages of $10,000 or More, Says Fender MendersCHICAGO, May 25 The hail and high wind storm that May 18 struck the North Shore and northwest Chicago area has left car owners confused, upset and in many cases wondering what to do about their cars. Only a small percentage of those with damage are having repairs done now but the number will increase in the weeks ahead. The extent of the car and truck damage only now is being comprehended. The hail created what Jim Rosenfield calls damage that could have been caused by a ball peen hammer hitting at a car for an hour. In some cases the hail went right through the vehicle hoods. Cars also were badly damaged from falling trees, branches, roofing materials, including vehicles parked in shopping centers. Windows have been cracked to knocked out. Rosenfield, owner of Fender Menders for 13 years, said he has never seen a storm cause more car and truck damage. He is available for interviews in his Wheeling or Elk Grove Village facility, with pictures in his brand new modern body shop in Elk Grove Village at 1200 Higgins Road. Rosenfield, due to the huge amount of car/truck owner stress, said he would accept the estimates of all major standard insurance companies and if there is hidden damage he would bill the insurance companies and collect from them. Rosenfield can do this because of the respect held for him by the insurance firms. He has the highest possible certification from the major insurance firms and many of the smaller ones. He also has all of the highest certifications (plural) in the industry and is one of only a few with this recognition in the Chicago area. Fender Mender's Wheeling number is 847-215-2255 and Elk Grove Village is 847-640-1777.
