Chicagoland's First Ford Division Quick Lane Service Center Opens

23 October 2000

Sutton's Ford Superstore Opens Chicagoland's First Ford Division Quick Lane Service Center
MATTESON, Ill., Oct. 20 Fast service while you wait, with
no appointment necessary, are some of the customer-friendly features of
Sutton's Ford Superstore Quick Lane service center, Ford Division's first
Quick Lane in the Chicago metropolitan area.
The dealership is hosting a two-day grand opening celebration for
customers on Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21, with a cookout on both
days. The celebration starts at 11 a.m. Friday, with Ford Customer Service
Division Regional Manager Robert Bremer, Matteson Village President Mark
Stricker, and dealer Nathaniel Sutton officiating at a ribbon-cutting. A
barbecue for customers and other guests will follow.
Dale Jarrett's No. 88 Ford Taurus will be on display both days, and
country music radio station US99 will broadcast a live remote from the Quick
Lane Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Customers also can register to win one
of two DVD players.
"Our customers have made it clear that they want the convenience of
speedy, no-appointment service during hours that fit their busy schedules,"
said Mike Jordan, president of Ford's Automotive Consumer Services Group.
"This new facility will give Sutton's Ford another avenue for satisfying their
customers in a very competitive market."
With extended service hours and competitive prices, Quick Lane service
centers are designed to provide a variety of vehicle maintenance and light
repair needs, with no appointment necessary, in a facility that is either
located at the dealership or nearby. Sutton's Ford Quick Lane handles all
types of maintenance and light repairs for all makes and models.
"We're pleased to be the first Ford dealership in the Chicago metro area
to offer our customers dealership-level repairs at chain store prices," said
dealer Nathaniel Sutton, president of Sutton's Ford Superstore. "Quick Lane
gives our Ford customers and all-brand customers another choice for convenient
service, and we're looking forward to convincing some of those all-brand
customers to think about buying a Ford."
Customers who visit a Quick Lane service center will enjoy a different
experience from the typical trip to a dealership service department. They are
encouraged to interact directly with the technicians who service and repair
vehicles or, if they wish, they may relax in a comfortable reception area.
"When customers make Quick Lane their service center choice, they will
have the confidence of knowing their vehicles are being serviced by Ford-
trained technicians using quality parts," said Carl Bergman, Customer Service
Operations manager, Ford Customer Service Division. "At the same time, we are
aiming to deliver speedy service equal or superior to the best of the
competition."
Service center hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to
5 p.m. Saturday.
The Quick Lane center is located at the dealership, 21315 Central Ave., in
Matteson.
