Free Finance and Investment Education Conference for Military Scheduled for September 16

HARRISBURG, Pa., Aug. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Military Finance Alliance is sponsoring a free one-day conference to educate members of the military and their families on the unique financial and investment decisions they will face. The "Making $ense of Finance" conference will take place at the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, on Saturday, September 16, 2017, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

This event is limited to Letterkenny Army Depot Department of Defense employees, Carlisle Barracks and National Guard Common Access Card (CAC) holders, and members of their families only.

Those in attendance can choose workshops led by experts in the following areas:

  • Investing Basics
  • Credit Reports and Credit Scores
  • Blended Retirement System/Thrift Savings Plan (TSP): What's In It for Me?
  • Budgeting: Build Wealth, Not Debt
  • Detecting and Avoiding Military Focused Financial Scams
  • Getting Your Financial House in Order

Registration is required for this "Making $ense of Finance" conference. Free breakfast, lunch, and parking will be provided.
