Chrysler Group's Ralph Gilles Wins 'Innovation Award' from NV Magazine

Award-winning Chrysler 300 Designer Recognized for His Vision, Leadership, and Service

NEW YORK, Aug. 2 -- Ralph Gilles, Chrysler Group Director - Truck Exterior/Interior Design Studio, was recently honored for his creative vision, leadership and community achievements at the third annual NV Awards. More than 500 guests celebrated the accomplishments of a new generation of urban professionals and entrepreneurs at the awards banquet, which took place at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel on July 29.

Gilles, lead designer of the Dodge Charger, Dodge Magnum and Chrysler 300 sedan -- dubbed by many as the most influential American car of the 21st century -- was praised for his creativity and leadership of the Chrysler Group design team by the NV selection committee. NV Magazine also commended Gilles for sharing his passion for automobile design with students regularly, and for his desire to give back to the community and provide future generations with access to information about the automotive design and the industry.

"The NV Innovator award is a win for the entire Chrysler Group design team because we work together and are committed to being design leaders," said Gilles. "When people believe you are making a difference, they start to trust you [as a leader], which really allows you to branch out and do amazing things."

Gilles was one of 10 urban professionals and entrepreneurs who received the NV Award. The winners were acknowledged for the sacrifice, diligence, foresight, integrity, service, creativity, and assertiveness they exhibited in building successful businesses and careers. Other NV Award winners included Adrian E. Bracy, Vice President of Finance for the St. Louis Rams; "The Apprentice" runner-up Kwame Jackson of Legacy Holdings, LLC; and author and motivational speaker Farrah Gray.

"The NV Awards 2K5" salutes urban professionals who have demonstrated strong leadership in business and have used their vision to achieve remarkable inroads within their industries," said Kyle Donovan, CEO and Publisher of NV Magazine."

The NV Awards were created by NV (New Visions in Business) Magazine, a six-year-old national, bi-monthly business publication whose mission is to educate, inform, inspire, and entertain urban professionals, entrepreneurs, and forward thinkers. The purpose of the awards ceremony and magazine is to nurture the economic engine of the urban community to provide business professionals and community leaders with the networking opportunities needed to forge business networks and foster new business relationships with one another and within corporate America.
