Cincinnati Lamb Assembly & Test Initiates Diversification Strategy With New ``CL Automation'' Identity

MACHESNEY PARK, Ill.--Sept. 1, 2005--Leading automotive assembly and testing solutions provider Cincinnati Lamb Assembly & Test has announced that it has been renamed CL Automation in keeping with a change of focus in the company's business strategy. Following the firm's recent acquisition by Maxcor's MAG Industrial Automation Systems, company executives have formulated a plan to broaden its scope to include markets outside of automotive manufacturing such as aerospace, heavy equipment, and consumer segments.

The change of identity occurs as the company embarks on a new path that should allow it to grow and thrive in a very competitive manufacturing environment, according to newly appointed CL Automation President, Jeff Price. "We will continue to work closely with our automotive customers, building on our present successes, however, our plan also includes leveraging our core competencies to penetrate new markets as well as working with other equipment and machine tool builders," he said.

A leading provider of assembly products and technologies to the diversified manufacturing industry for nearly 40 years, the company began operation as Rockford Automation in Rockford, Illinois. In 1990, it was acquired by Lamb Technicon and operated as Lamb Assembly & Test gaining a formidable reputation on automotive projects. For the past two years under the Cincinnati Lamb brand, the company has found new opportunities in the aerospace market.

Last month, CL Automation received two high profile aerospace orders resulting from successful transition from high-production, high-precision automotive applications to automation applications for aircraft production. Both orders are for a major aircraft integrator who is a prime supplier to the 787 Dreamliner Program.

According to Price, "The scope of CL Automation's assembly and test expertise is very broad, with extensive experience in the assembly and testing of products as diverse as water meters and respirators. Manufacturers in all sectors can achieve higher quality and lower part cost utilizing advanced assembly and test technology to drive out direct labor cost and virtually eliminate scrap and rework."

Along with the new name, CL Automation has introduced a new logo. Complete information on the company's products, services and capabilities can be found at its new web site www.CL-Automation.com
