LONDON - July 9, 2006: Hyundai has introduced a new name for its latest high-value special edition models. ‘Atlantic’ is the evocative label that identifies the latest high value offerings from the Korean maker. And by providing a host of extra features at no additional cost, Hyundai is once again setting its cars oceans apart from the competition.

The Hyundai Accent Atlantic is a new addition to the Hyundai line-up and replaces both the previous Accent and the Elantra, both of which have now been deleted from the UK range.

A 1.4 litre petrol engine three-door hatchback, the Hyundai Accent Atlantic comes complete with air-conditioning and alloy wheels and a high-mounted rear spoiler with stop light. It will be available from launch on 1 August with three years’ free servicing until the end of September – all for just £8,995 on the road.

Standard equipment includes electric front windows, driver and passenger airbags, remote central locking, 60/40 split folding rear seat, front fog lights, stereo RDS/CD player, a trip computer and much more besides.

The new Hyundai Getz Atlantic effectively adds a CDX version of the three-door 1.1 model to the Getz line-up. It is packed with the same generous equipment as the standard five-door 1.1. Getz CDX, which boasts alloy wheels, air-conditioning, body-coloured door mirrors and handles, electric heated door mirrors, front fog lights, remote central locking, side airbags and an alarm.

In addition to all this, the Hyundai Getz Atlantic adds a rear roof spoiler with brake light, colour-coded carpet mats and carbon grain interior trim and all for just £7,990 on the road, which is still £600 less than the five-door CDX.

A limited run of 750 Hyundai Getz Atlantic models is being made available in a choice of vibrant Hip Hop Red, Sky Blue Metallic, or – entirely new to the Getz range – Blue Onyx Mica paint.

What is more, from 1 July until the end of September, the Hyundai Getz Atlantic is being made available with an additional £700 saving, making it just £7,290 on the road, plus three years’ free servicing.

Hyundai Coupé Atlantic

Hyundai’s highly desirable Coupé has also been given the Atlantic treatment. Customers will need to be quick off the mark to secure one of these brilliant-value sporting cars, however, as production is limited to just 500 examples.

The Hyundai Coupé Atlantic, based on the existing 2.0 SE with manual transmission, is offered in a choice of Dark Navy Blue, Samba Red or Smart Silver paint. Specification added to the usual SE includes colour-coded mats, six-disc CD changer, climate control with Air Quality Control System, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and automatic lights-on control.

Although the Hyundai Coupé Atlantic adds £600 worth of additional extras to the 2.0 SE’s equipment list, at £17,170 on the road it doesn’t cost a penny more – making it incredible value for money.

Furthermore, from 1 July to the end of September Hyundai is offering an additional £500 saving on the Hyundai Coupé Atlantic, making it even better value for money at just £16,670 on the road.

Five Year Warranty

Hyundai still remains the only manufacturer confident enough in the quality of its cars to offer a five year unlimited mileage warranty across its entire range, including its new incredible value Atlantic special editions.
