Austin, Jun 14, 2012: As many of you know I live and work in the Texas Hill Country and specifically the Highland Lakes region, which is not typically known to be a motorsports Mecca. Usually, the Lakes area is much more akin to watersports, golf, music, graphic arts, and BBQ although the City of Marble Falls does host an National Lucas Oil Drag Boat event each July.
However, if you're more interested in round rubber, rather than 1000 hp floaties, and if you're in Texas this weekend while looking for something interesting to do, you might want to trot over to Marble Falls and enjoy its Classic Adult Soapbox Derby. Why? Well check this out:
Like I said, if you want pure 'down home' racing along with loads of great food, music, and tongue-in-cheek fun come on over, we'll be happy to have y'all along!
