Honda Civic Sedan Series II Now On Sale

TULLAMARINE, AUSTRALIA – July 3, 2012: The Honda Civic Sedan Series II is now on sale in Dealerships around Australia.

Honda Australia’s Director and General Manager Sales and Marketing, Mr. Stephen Collins says the Series II Civic provides customers with more specification and features and will build on the successful sales of the all-new Civic sedan.

“Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the world famous Civic nameplate this year, we are delighted to offer even more features in the Civic Sedan Series II.

“Over 3,400 Civic Sedans have already been sold since the all-new model was launched in March this year. Australians can expect superior quality, even more features and exceptional value for money,” Mr. Collins said.

Series II is available in four variants; VTi, VTi-L, VTi-LN (navigation) and Sport.

The VTi, VTi-L and VTi-LN feature a 1.8 litre i-VTEC engine delivering 104 kW and 174 Nm of torque. The VTi is available in a five-speed manual and five-speed automatic transmission while the VTi-L and VTi-LN is available in automatic only.

The VTi has 15 inch steel wheels with a temporary spare and features as standard, keyless entry with jack-knife key fob, cruise control, power windows with driver’s auto up/down, four speaker audio system with an MP3/WMA compatible CD player, USB and iPod connectivity, AUX jack, Bluetooth audio and Hands Free Telephone with steering-wheel mounted controls, Motion Adaptive EPS and the Intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID).

The VTi-L receives auto on/off headlights, chrome gear shifter and 16 inch alloy wheels with a temporary spare.

The VTi-LN receives Honda’s satellite navigation unit with reversing camera, front fog lights, smart entry, chrome door handles and rain sensing wipers.

The Sport has a 2 litre i-VTEC engine delivering 114 kW and 190 Nm. It has 17 inch alloy wheels, sunroof, leather steering wheel with paddle shifters and turn indicators on the door mirrors. The Sport also features Honda’s satellite navigation unit with reversing camera. New for Series II, the Sport features black leather interior.

All Series II Civics have a five-star ANCAP safety rating with six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) with ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist.
