Toyota and Saatchi LA Debut "Let's Go Places" to Kick Off
2013
Toyota begins 2013 with an invitation to customers: "Let's Go Places!" The
new brand direction and creative is an optimistic manifesto celebrating
the Toyota owners who pursue their passions and dreams in their vehicles
everyday.
The campaign launched with a :60 second TV spot that spotlights a spectrum
of Toyota vehicles and depicts the awe-inspiring moments that occur
because of the people and ideas behind each car, such as a newborn driven
home from the hospital, a one-of-a-kind concept car with a full LED screen
exterior, and a Tundra TRD truck jumping 10 feet into the air. Sam
Trammell, best know for his recurring role on HBO's True Blood, provides
the moving voice over.
?Let?s Go Places? speaks to the evolution of Toyota and our commitment to
leading through innovation, enriching lives and connecting with customers
in new ways they define,? said Bill Fay, group vice president and general
manager, Toyota Division. ?It is energetic, aspirational, inclusive and
very versatile. The phrase conveys a dual meaning of physically going
places and taking off on an adventure, while also expressing optimism and
the promise of exciting innovation that enriches people?s lives. It allows
our associates, customers, dealers, and suppliers to interpret it in ways
that are most personally relevant to them.?
All media drives viewers to "Let's Go Places" on social channels using the
hashtag #LetsGoPlaces. In addition to TV, the campaign includes large
print and OOH components featuring real people, as well as a mobile and
tablet-friendly expressions of "Let?s Go Places" at
Toyota.com/letsgoplaces. Toyota also created several web videos, the first
of which tells the story behind the 2013 Avalon, the first completely
American-designed and engineered car in Toyota's 75-year history. The
second film looks at the future of design by exploring the Fun Vii concept
car - a hybrid vehicle with an impressive, totally digital, LED exterior
and interior skin.
