The methodology used to identify the most valuable brands began by analyzing the ways a brand benefits a company from delivering customer expectations to driving economic value. The ranking is also based on a combination of attributes that contribute to a brand’s cumulative value including financial performance of the branded products and services; the role the brand plays in influencing customer choice; the strength the brand has to command a premium price or secure earnings for the company.
The top ten brands in the Global Brand Report are: Apple, Google, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, IBM, Toyota, Samsung, GE, McDonald’s and Amazon.
