Media credentials information and policies/guidelines for Goodyear All American Speedway
Good afternoon, We are looking forward to our first race on July 31st and strive to be as media friendly as possible. I wanted to send out our credential policy and our guidelines for credentialed media. In short, we will have a pretty open door policy and encourage any and all media outlets to come to our races this season, and exemptions to requirements for pre-race authorization for media credentials are being put in place for traditional local media in the Jacksonville area as well as well established and respected motorsports publications. Thank you, Andy Marquis Goodyear All American Speedway Media Credentials and Policy Goodyear All American Speedway welcomes media coverage from a variety of different platforms for events throughout the year. We are adopting an open door policy for traditional local media outlets (including but not limited to: WCTI-TV, WITN-TV, WNCT-TV, Spectrum News, and the Jacksonville Daily News) as well as vetted motorsports publications (Short Track Scene, Speed51, Race22, Speed Sport, Late Model Digest, Speedway Illustrated, and Windshield Deep). We request that traditional media and the listed motorsports publications call or text the speedway's media and marketing manager, Andy Marquis, at 910.467.6395 or email ammarquis@goodyearallamericanspeedway.com <mailto:ammarquis@goodyearallamericanspeedway.com> in advance of the race. All other media outlets, photographers, and social media channels wanting to cover events at Goodyear All American Speedway are asked to contact the speedway at 910.708.0202 ext. 6395 or email <mailto:ammarquis@goodyearallamericanspeedway.com> ammarquis@goodyearallamericanspeedway.com no later than the morning of the race to request access. We reserve the right to deny media credential requests, however we aim to be friendly and open to all forms of media, traditional and new age. Goodyear All American Speedway will send out pre-race advances and post-race recaps after our events unless a situation inhibits our ability to do so. Additionally, reporters will be supplied with results at our events. Press box access is limited and it will be solely up to the track's media and marketing manager who will receive access. If a reporter is unable to utilize the press box for a race, we will work to accommodate reporters and photographers in any way we possibly can. Credentialed media representatives are asked to adhere to the following guidelines: Media Credential Guidelines: * COVID-19: MASKS ARE NOT REQUIRED, NOR IS PROOF OF VACCINATION. * Members of the media are expected to always act professionally when at the speedway. * Photographers are strongly encouraged to wear vests, though photo vests azre not required. * All reporters, photographers and videographers are encouraged to display a press pass and/or wear attire with their outlet's name on display. * Goodyear All American Speedway will not restrict access for credentialed photographers, but photographers are expected to exercise common sense and adhere to safety requests/demands. * Goodyear All American Speedway requests reporters who cover races to send a link to their coverage of the races to <mailto:media@goodyearallamericanspeedway.com> media@goodyearallamericanspeedway.com and <mailto:ammarquis@goodyearallamericanspeedway.com> ammarquis@goodyearallamericanspeedway.com. * Pre-race coverage and social media updates throughout the events are encouraged. * Goodyear All American Speedway requests prior notification for any reporters who intend to post live updates on Facebook, Twitter, other social media outlets, or on live blogs. * Goodyear All American Speedway does not grant "Exclusive" rights to race coverage to any media outlet (with the exception of live broadcasts). * Live streaming video coverage of entire events is prohibited unless previously authorized by Goodyear All American Speedway.
