Safari Motor Coaches 91320 Coburg Industrial Way Coburg, OR 97408 USA Parent Company: Monaco Coach Corporation Web site: http://www.safarimotorcoaches.com Safari started as a small motorhome builder in Oregon with a much larger RV company in a neighboring town: Monaco Motorhomes. Monaco was establishing itself as the premier manufacturer of highline motorhomes and became well known for outstanding diesel coaches. Monaco purchased Holiday Rambler in 1996, providing the company with an excellent lineup of gasoline and diesel motorhomes as well as towable RVs. In the latter half of the 1990s, Monaco began to emerge as a major force in the RV industry. In 2001, Monaco Coach purchased the Safari brand as well as the Oregon-based Beaver line of luxury coaches. The result was a stronger organization with wide-spread resources. Safari manufactures three lines of mid-line Class A gas and diesel motorhomes and one Class C model line. The roots of Monaco Coach Corporation run back to 1968 with the formation of Caribou Coach Corporation. The company soon evolved into Monaco Motorhomes, Inc., and out of that organization Monaco Coach Corporation was born in 1987. Headquartered in Coburg, Oregon, with additional production facilities in Elkhart and Wakarusa, Indiana, Monaco has been a public company since 1993, traded on the NY Stock Exchange under the symbol MNC.
