Triple E Recreational Vehicles 301 Roblin Blvd. PO Box 1230 Winkler, Manitoba R6W 4C4 Canada Web site: http://tripleerv.com In the vast central plains of Canada, just north of North Dakota, is the small, ethnically Mennonite community of Winkler, Manitoba. Its here that a small travel trailer company started in 1966 with 8 workers. Founder P.W. Enns, who traveled with his wife and a trailer around Canada and the U.S., had been inspired after a visit to an American RV maker in Elkhart, Indiana. Enns created the new company with his two sons-in-law, Peter Elias and Philipp Ens hence the name, Triple E. The companys first production year yielded 50 travel trailers in 1966. The following year, Triple E was able to supply more than 300 trailers to the Expo in Montreal, needed because of a hotel-room shortage. A motorhome division was added in 1970, and currently the company is the only Canadian maker of Class A motorhomes. Still a private, family-owned company, Triple E sells most of its products in Canada, but is expanding rapidly into the U.S. With more than 600 employees, Triple E is unique in that it does most of its own steel fabrication, fiberglass work, cloth work and cabinetry at its own facility.
